We offer substrates and growing media with rapidly renewable raw materials for professional gardening and landscaping, on request with mineral content or adjusted pH-value for bog plants. Our TerraBRILL gardening products are made from the same high-quality raw materials as our professional substrates. For covering, easier maintenance and improvement of the soil climate we recommend our decorative TerraBRILL pine bark or garden mulch.

For years we have been supplying cemetery gardeners with special substrates for planting and decorating graves, for soil improvement and for filling graves. In many cases our cemetery substrate S is the suitable planting substrate. For particularly dry areas we recommend Cemetery substrate HG with hydrogranulate as an additional water reservoir. The cemetery substrate HG saves significant work time due to longer watering intervals and shorter watering times. Both products contain 50 % renewable raw materials. TerraBRILL grave soil has a high proportion of black peat and is therefore particularly dark. It is perfectly suited for covering graves.
We offer a wide range of outdoor substrates for planting outdoors, in hanging baskets or containers. Municipalities and city nurseries like to use our peat-reduced substrates. For containers we recommend our tree and container substrate with expanding clay and pine bark for long-term structural stability. Choosing the right outdoor substrate saves work time and therefore money: The addition of slow-release fertilisers ensures rich, long-lasting flowering with no need for additional fertiliser when watering. Water storage granulate ensures longer watering intervals.
Tree and shrub nurseries need potting and container substrates that are particularly drainable and adapted to outdoor conditions. For this purpose we developed our Ligno mix substrates with LignoDrain® years ago. For callunas and ericas we offer special coarsely structured white peat substrates with a suitable pH value.
In close consultation with you, our substrate experts will develop an outdoor substrate formulation optimised to your needs. Individual matters such as requirements of the plant species, soil or water quality, irrigation system, fertiliser storage and plant container sizes are taken into account.
Society and politics increasingly demand that horticulturalists use peat-reduced substrates. We have more than 20 years of experience with different alternative ingredients based on wood, compost, coconut, etc., for many different crops. Peat-reduced substrates require a different, adapted cultivation and water supply. For us at Brill, peat replacement is a service matter and crop safety a priority.
